Notes 1. WMA and OGG files are converted on the
fly to MP3 in order to play them on the Exstreamer. In both cases 1 and 2, the LAME encoder DLL (lame_enc.dll) must be installed, either in the TelCanto Server installation directory or in the Windows System32 directory. How do I obtain cover art for display in TelCanto? Cover art is available from a variety of sources and may either be embedded within the audio file, or saved in the same folder as the audio files with the name "folder.jpg". We recommend the use of SoftPointer's Tag&Rename which, in addition to editing the tags within music files, can download cover art and tag data from www.allmusic.com. Do I need to obtain an additional license from Barix to use multiple synchronized Exstreamers with TelCanto? No, TelCanto does not require the synchronization functionality provided within the Exstreamer firmware, but performs its own synchronization. Do I need to run the zServer software when using an Exstreamer with TelCanto? No, TelCanto streams MP3 data to the Exstreamer in Mode 4, and does not require the zServer software. Not yet, but we plan to release one soon. Can the server control multiple independent music sources? A single server instance can only control one music source, although this may be played on multiple players if required, using Exstreamer. However, you can run multiple instances of the server on a single machine, each with a different music library and player configuration, and you can switch between these different servers from the Pocket PC client.
